More energy for big change today. This is the second of three exact conjunctions of Jupiter and Pluto in 2020 (April 4, June 30 and November 12). This is a major alignment that happens every thirteen years and it is over the second house of the United States, echoing the notable lineup of planets in Capricorn in January which launched this year of great unrest where everything seems in upheaval.

Pluto moves very slowly, so will hover in this area for a long time, dredging up issues that need to be changed both in society and at a personal level. Jupiter brings expansion, for good or bad, but is known as the Great Benefic, usually associated with blessings and protection. This conjunction is in Capricorn, so the focus is on responsibility, maturity and the aged as well as the foundational structures of society. Over the second house of the United States, this conjunction continues the year-long emphasis on values, security and the financial system of the country.

Difficult aspects to other planets and points tells me that there is more upheaval and unrest in our future. Jupiter represents justice and taking the higher road whereas Pluto can be brutal in its quest for power. It is important to act ethically and with integrity now as ruthless or violent behavior will invite retribution.

How does this affect you personally? Look at your natal chart to see what house contains 24 Capricorn. The area of life governed by this house will be the focus.

Hysteria in the Homeland

June 5 , 2020 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius 15:42 at 2:24:55 PM CST

Image by Iván Tamás from Pixabay

This is an angry Full Moon. The emotional Moon represents the people in mundane astrology and everyone is fired up and feeling the intensity.

We are living through a period of time that repeats the energy of the Fall of Rome, the Reformation, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War.

This year we have experienced unbelievable upheaval in our country. COVID-19, sheltering at home, masks, loss of jobs, businesses closed, murder hornets, people arrested for trying to earn money followed by a senseless murder that shocked the world. Peaceful protests were hijacked  by well-organized and obviously orchestrated multi-city anarchist riots, looting and the murder of many innocents. All of this is fomenting anger, fear, suffering and grief.

How can it get worse?

This is a particularly dangerous Full Moon because of Mars. During this eclipse, the Moon makes a difficult square to the warrior planet. In addition, the Full Moon is opposite Venus retrograde which is not good for those in strained relationships, nor for the United States, as it opposes the country’s Ascendant. In addition, the Sun is conjunct Mars and squares Neptune, signaling continued violence and confusion.

Lunar Eclipses bring the push pull between opposing energies represented by the Sun which is opposite the Moon in the sky. This can be the push pull between work and home, man and woman and in mundane astrology, the government and the people.

And to top it off, Neptune continues its slow passage through Pisces. It is traveling over the 3rd house of the United States, which represents communication and the media.

Neptune brings delusion, confusion and lies and can also bring inspiration and spiritual connection. But it is hard to see the more positive aspects now as Neptune is in the nasty third decan of its travels through Pisces which just happens to be ruled by warrior Mars. Look for more lies and deception and more delusion and violent behavior from the public.

Neptune rules poisons, gas and water, and suicides, among other things, so it is possible that we will be dealing with flooding and many more of these challenges now and until it leaves Pisces at the end of March 2025. Tropical storm Cristobal is forming now in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall on June 5, just in time for the eclipse.

Transiting Uranus is shaking things up for the country as it makes a difficult square to the United States’ Nodes. This has karmic ramifications.

Powerful upheavals continue due to the rare conjunction of three of the solar system’s most powerful planets, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. This very long term conjunction brings major changes in the structures our society is built on and we are witnessing the fracturing of our foundations now. This is turning our financial world upside down as the conjunction is over the 2nd house of money for the United States. The Transiting Nodes are square the Midheaven of the United States, indicating difficult karmic events.

Right now Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus are all retrograde slowing down and intensifying the power for change and making it more internal and individualized.

We have an ominous Solar Eclipse on June 21 followed by Mars entering Aries on June 27 where it will remain an unusually long time until January 7, 2021. During this time it will travel over the 4th house of the United States which represents the homeland, indicating terroristic and aggressive acts in our country.

There’s more of this to come I am afraid.

2020 Big Changes Ahead

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

In January 2020 we have Sun, South Node of the Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto and Jupiter went into Capricorn in 2008, when we had a global financial crisis. We will have new structures and new systems as we go through a major transformation of foundational constructs. This is a tremendously exciting shift and we may look at the time before 2020 as the old era.

Saturn, Pluto, Mercury and Jupiter Conjunctions

Saturn and Pluto have been in Capricorn for some time now but will form a powerful conjunction beginning January 12, 2020 which will continue throughout most of 2020. Saturn conjunct Pluto is very significant and usually comes when there are wars and restructuring of power. This begins a new 33-year cycle. Mercury (the way we think) is conjunct as well transforming our opinions.

In April, Jupiter joins this conjunction for most of the year, adding power and expansion to this already very intense connection. Jupiter is conjunct the South Node in Capricorn bringing attention to ambition, responsibility and higher knowledge.

In Capricorn, this signals big changes in the institutions of our world including governments, banking, medicine, religion, etc. This will bring about a complete and permanent (due to Pluto) restructuring of the world. It will take some time, but new structures and systems will unfold over the next decade that will be more humanitarian and innovative.

Martin Luther

The last time Pluto and Saturn were conjunct in Capricorn was in January 1518, two months after Martin Luther (with five planets in transforming Scorpio) nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, challenging the power of the Catholic Church, launching the Great Reformation and the protestant revolution.

Saturn

Saturn is the lesson bringer and the builder. It rules structure, foundation, integrity, responsibility and government —how we govern ourselves and each other. Saturn teaches patience as it represents old age, the slow passage of time and the wisdom that comes with life experience. When Saturn is in Capricorn expect to reap the rewards of past actions, for good or bad.

Pluto

Pluto is the great destroyer and brings about powerful and often painful transformation. Pluto will dredge up the garbage to expose it to the cleansing light of day. With Pluto in Capricorn since November 2008, it has certainly brought many scandals to light. Expect more of this to be exposed as this cleansing is necessary to release the old and welcome the new paradigm that is emerging. The Pluto return for the United States begins in 2021, signaling a new cycle for our country.

Saturn Pluto Cycles

When Saturn and Pluto come together this can result in either greater empowerment of the status quo or revolutionary change and a dissolution of power. They make hard angles every 8 ¼ years, are in opposition every 16 ½ years and are conjunct every 33 years. These hard aspects result in upheavals and often uncomfortable change. Some world events that coincide with these cycles include World War I in 1914, the Vietnam War in 1965 and the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy in 2001.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the Great Benefic and brings expansion, usually positive, to whatever it touches. It rules the higher mind, knowledge, the law, justice, philosophy and Sagittarius among other things. It can result in excess at times. When Jupiter is conjunct one of the heavy hitters like Saturn or Pluto, the impact of that planet is emphasized but it can also bring blessings. For example, Jupiter conjunct Pluto can bring great abundance and wealth through regeneration.

Jupiter conjunct Pluto in 2020

Jupiter unites with Pluto three times during the year in Capricorn (April 4, June 30 & November 12). Expansive Jupiter conjunct Pluto will continue to dredge up issues that affect society and need to be changed, especially those that involve oppression of any kind. Jupiter and Pluto are equal but opposite, one rules the underworld and the other the spiritual world. This will result in deep rooted changes in what we value. It is time to discover what really matters.

Annular Solar Eclipse – Happy Surprises! December 25, 2019 at 8:29 PM CST

Image by A Owen from Pixabay

This is a fortunate Annular Solar Eclipse at 4 degrees Capricorn, when the Sun and Moon come together – a very powerful time for formulating your goals for 2020 and beyond and leaving behind those things that no longer support your growth.

This is an especially optimistic eclipse because it includes a conjunction to lucky and expansive, truth seeking Jupiter. Jupiter brings blessings and the trine to Uranus brings the sudden and unexpected. Look for happy and surprising good luck as well as epiphanies and positive changes

This eclipse is only visible from the Eastern Hemisphere, from Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia and other locations in this part of the world. However, the effects are felt worldwide and will last  about six months bringing opportunities for growth, personal freedom, spiritual awareness and new and unusual experiences.

Truth continues to be Told

Jupiter emphasizes truth and freedom. In Capricorn, this relates to truth regarding the foundational institutions of the world and freedom from tyranny of all sorts. With Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto all in Capricorn, this is a serious time for these old underpinnings of our existence. With Pluto (transformation) conjunct Saturn (lessons and responsibility), look for more painful revelations in the institutional areas of our lives including government, business, religion and media.

Jupiter, Galactic Center and the Critical 29th Degree of Sagittarius

Jupiter is now at the intensely concentrated 29th degree of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter which brings expansion wherever it goes. Sagittarius is loud, the entertainer, the lawyer, loves foreign travel, accumulating higher knowledge and embarking on zealous spiritual quests. Now at this intense 29th degree, you may be feeling the power of Sagittarius, depending on where this lands in your chart.

Jupiter has been conjunct the Galactic Center (the center of the Milky Way Galaxy)  at 27 Sagittarius since November 19th, ushering in higher cosmic knowledge to us individually and to the world.

See where the Galactic Center resides in your natal chart at 27 Sagittarius to gain an understanding of how the current and upcoming important aspects will bring opportunities to you. The Sun, Mercury and Mars will all join the Galactic Center during the month of December.

Look back to 2006-2009 to get a sense of what began in your life as a result of the Pluto conjunction to the Galactic Center, then consider November 2017 when Saturn was at this important point to understand how this energy may be cycling in your life.

What is the Galactic Center?

The Galactic Center is the heart of the Milky Way, our home galaxy. Located about 27,000 light years from earth, the very slow moving Galactic Center (1 degree every 72 years)  is currently at 27 degrees Sagittarius. Our entire Solar System revolves around the Galactic Center, much like the Earth revolves around the Sun. It takes 250 million years for our Sun and solar system to revolve completely around the Galactic Center.

The Galactic Center is thought to be a super massive black hole and corresponds to the astronomical radio source of Sagittarius A.

Why is this Important?

Jupiter, the Great Benefic, joins the Galactic Center on November 19, 2019 and will continue to aspect this point through the end of November, bringing in expansion,  justice, abundance and awakening to higher knowledge and consciousness.

Other planets will follow Jupiter to aspect the Galactic Center including Venus (November 23) bringing in love energy, the Sun (December 19) making this a personal experience, Mercury (December 27) affecting how we think, and Mars (February 13, 2020) adding great energy to the mix.

This will be a time of great awakening for many and if you have a planet within 5 degrees of this point, you will feel this more intensely.

Cycle of Learning

Jupiter returns to the Galactic Center every 12 years and brings with it the opportunity for expanded awareness of your Soul’s purpose. This is now an unusual return since Pluto (the Great Transformer) was at the Galactic Center in 2006/2007, bringing big and often tumultuous change.  Saturn (the Great Taskmaster) reached the Galactic Center in late 2017, bringing lessons, responsibility and sometimes painful learning. Think back to 2006-2007 and what was happening in your world at that time to gain an understanding of the cycle. Has your awareness grown and your insight changed over the past twelve years?

If you have planets that will be aspected, consider the house and energies involved for a deeper understanding of how this may impact you.
